# Make Lunch for School

By Drew Breunig

A good lunch has a main and a balanced set of snacks. It's not too full (to minimize waste) and not to empty.

- [ ] Prepare a Tupperware container or similar to organize the lunch elements. It keeps things from getting squashed and is reusable.
- [ ] Prepare a sandwich. Ideally this has some protein and doesn't have peanut or other nut butters that aggravate allergies.
- [ ] Cut off the crusts! Then put the sandwich in the Tupperware.
- [ ] Find a piece of fruit. Wash and cut it up (if needed) into appropriate sizes.
- [ ] Fill the remainder with string cheese, crackers, or other snacks things to ensure a good volume. But don’t go overboard!
- [ ] Add a small treat, like a cookie or chocolate covered raisin.
- [ ] Toss in a napkin and snap up the box.
- [ ] Stash it in the backpack or at the front door.
